SketchUp
Actually I started with the actual version 2020. The free version is a browser app. Now I have turned to 2017 as it's free-version is running on the desktop and with the plugin 'MS Physics' can move the CAD-items created. For my intention a 'must' to get the moving area of the 6dof-sim and the 2017 is almost as sufficient as 2020.

space mouse
3D Connexion space navigator, nowadays called 'SpaceMouse Compact'.
3D connexion driver website when you intend to get it from e.g. ebay and it comes without driver.
Installation and usage of Space Navigator in CAD. In particular, in this yt vid it is shown that it is only working with the application intended, when application related checkboxes during installation and setup where ticked. During the installation of my space navigator driver no checkboxes had to be ticket and it just simply worked after installation of the downloaded driver-exe. Also the blue ring got illuminated not when plugged in to USB, but after the driver had been installed. No big issue, just mentioning...
